Regional Peer Review Opportunities
Children’s Advocacy Centers of Virginia assembles regional peer review opportunities for professionals in the state of Virginia. The purpose of peer review is to provide forensic interviewers and trained MDT partners with an opportunity to review forensic interviews in a supportive, confidential, environment. This process reinforces the methodologies utilized during forensic interviews, covers specific interview techniques, provides feedback regarding the quality of documentation, and reviews relevant research. In addition, peer review offers an atmosphere to problem-solve, share challenges, and build supportive relationships among those trained. Research shows peer review is the best way for interviewers to sharpen their skills. MDT partners should contact their local CAC for more information.
