The Children’s Advocacy Centers of Virginia employs a staff of experienced professionals dedicated to serving the needs of its member centers, including advocacy, collaboration, funding, networking, evaluation and assessment, training and technical assistance, and more.

Wanda Ostrander
Executive Director

Wanda joined CACVA in August 2013 after a career in health care most recently as a children’s hospital administrator.  Wanda served both on a local CAC Board and the Chapter Board prior to her joining CACVA as Executive Director.
As Executive Director Wanda provides leadership to the CAC movement in Virginia in the areas of technical assistance, training, public policy, and strategic planning.

Deanne Weatherly
Program Coordinator

Deanne Weatherly joined CACVA in 2011. Her role as part-time Program Coordinator involves developing and coordinating various statewide trainings to include the Annual Multidisciplinary Team Conference, (3) week-long ChildFirst Virginia forensic interview trainings, as well as one-day trainings held throughout the year. Deanne works to provide technical assistance and support program development throughout the state.
