Welcome!
Like a wall of family photos, Virginia’s Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) shine uniquely with their strengths, protection, and compassion to reach out to all child victims of abuse in their localities. Our children deserve no less than our best efforts to ensure their future health and well-being are positively impacted by CACs’ professional services when needed. Children’s Advocacy Centers of Virginia (CACVA) will stand strong in partnership with Virginia’s CACs – and those yet to be developed – to improve, increase, and demonstrate our responsibilities in responding to the outcry of yet more child abuse reports.
As I reflect on the first seven years of CACVA, as well as the opportunity to lead Virginia’s CAC movement during this time, I’m proud of our agency’s many historical milestones in serving emerging individual Children’s Advocacy Centers. The foundation of CACVA’s work with CACs is comprised of training, technical assistance, and program components designed to educate and facilitate improvements for best practices of the CAC model.
Children’s Advocacy Centers of Virginia greatly appreciates all contributors that made the work of CACVA possible in previous years, and we ask for your continued support so that more child abuse victims in Virginia can be served.
